Hi, I’m Courtney - a Licensed Massage Therapist trained in the advanced healing art of Myofascial Release Therapy using the John F. Barnes Approach®. I’m here to help you realign with your body’s wisdom and reclaim a sense of freedom, ease, and relief from pain. ♡
How I Got Here
As a former business operations executive, I was wired to solve problems at the root - so they wouldn’t keep resurfacing. But when it came to my own body, I hadn’t yet learned that symptoms aren’t the root cause - they’re the signal.
Like many of my clients, I didn’t find Myofascial Release on a straight path. I found it because I truly needed it.
When Holding It All Together Started to Hurt
Chronic stress, decades behind a desk, the (beautiful) demands of motherhood, and the weight of unspoken, unprocessed emotion - layered on top of old injuries, busted bones, emergency surgeries, childbirth, and repetitive athletic patterns - eventually caught up with me.
My body sounded the alarm.

I was so achy I could barely sit still. I felt like I was always bracing - tense, uncomfortable, and disconnected. My hips carried a deep, persistent ache. My knees flared with sharp pain during movement. My shoulder felt pinched, restricted, and noisy.
And yet, there was no recent injury - no clear explanation. It all felt mysterious.
Chiropractic care, massage, and a deepening yoga practice helped me tune in - but not break free. At the time, I didn’t even know that kind of transformation was possible.
That changed when I discovered the John F. Barnes Myofascial Release Approach®.
I began to understand how the weight of my lived experience had woven itself into my fascia.
Experiencing fascial release in my own body was a revelation. It didn’t just relieve pain - it awakened a sense of mobility, awareness, and ease I hadn’t felt in years… maybe ever. It was a return to myself. A coming home to my body in a way that felt both unfamiliar and deeply true.
My aches are gone. My shoulder moves freely - no more pinchy pain.
